Netflix One Day Adaptation Wants to Make You Swoon This February 2024.

Based on the global best-selling book from author David Nicholls, One Day is the brand new limited series about Emma and Dex and a love story that spans over twenty years.

The cast of “One Day,” a new Netflix series based on David Nicholls’ book of the same name, has been revealed. The series is billed as an epic, tragi-comic love story, and Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew are portrayed by Ambika Mod (“This Is Going To Hurt”) and Leo Woodall (“The White Lotus”).

Netflix One Day  will also star Joely Richardson, Tim Mcinnerny and Poldark‘s Eleanor Tomlinson, as we witness snapshots of Emma and Dexter’s relationship over the decades and share in their hopes, dreams, squabbles, missed opportunities and tragedies.

The story follows Emma Morley and Dexter on “Netflix One Day” who met at Edinburgh University in 1988 and just before graduating. They Knowing about they go their own separate ways, and they can’t stop thinking of each other. As the years go by they are still part of each others lives but, over the course of twenty years, they grow and change. Each episode of the series will catch up with the central characters Emma and Dexter on one particular day 15th July over 20 years as they grow and change, move together and apart, experience joy and heartbreak.

The verdict is that there is just too much heartbreak – but the kind that you will still end up watching. Ambika and Leo’s chemistry as Em and Dex is the highlight, however. You should read what people have to say about it, because there’s a lot that they do.

Netflix One Day hails from a team of writers led by BAFTA winner Nicole Taylor (Wild Rose), alongside Anna Jordan (Killing Eve), Vinay Patal (Doctor Who), and Bijan Sheibani (Morning Song). The series is directed by Molly Manners (In My Skin), Kate Hewitt (Life), John Hardwick (Follow the Money), and Luke Sneilin (Wanderlust). The seires is produced by Drama Republic, with Roanna Bern,  Jude Liknaitzky, Nicholls, and Taylor serving as executive producers. Nige Watson is series producer.

The series will officially premiere on Netflix on February 8, 2024.
